Description

Mission for Accounting Department:

The mission of the Accounting Department of Seven Canyons is to provide support to the operations of the Club and to provide statements to the Membership for their dues and charges in a timely and accurate manner.

Basic Function:

To provide Accounts Receivable support to the operations of the Accounting Department of Seven Canyons and its associated entities.

Work Performed:

  1. Prepare and review member monthly statements at the end of the month.
  2. Process account adjustments and proper charges to member accounts.
  3. Mail statements with copy of tickets and return envelope with proper postage.
  4. Receive member payments and post to member accounts
  5. Prepare bank deposits of cash/checks if requested.
  6. Respond to member calls regarding their account and take appropriate action as needed to reconcile accounts on a daily basis, investigating discrepancies, deductions and any unpaid balances through member or department contact
  7. Participate in training and instruction as desired by the company.
  8. Process Daily Business closing
  9. Assist Controller with monthly review of P&L’s and Balance Sheets
  10. Reconcile Banquet billings and Banquet A/R collections
  11. Update Member Records in PMS as needed
  12. Process Monthly Collection Letters as needed
  13. Maintain Office Supplies, and order as needed
  14. Pick up and Distribute incoming mail, process outgoing mail
  15. Maintain office equipment in working order
  16. Performs any other tasks as needed or directed.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes
  2. Familiarity with General Ledger Accounting
  3. Ability to deal with members and guests in an efficient and professional manner
  4. Knowledge in Networked PC environments and Windows operating systems
  5. Literate in the following PC Software: Microsoft Word and Excel
  6. Prior Country Club or Hotel accounting experience preferred
  7. Must have good communication skills and be detail oriented
  8. Ability to multi-task

Physical Requirements:

  1. 80% sitting, 20% walking and standing
  2. Lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
  3. Hearing and manual dexterity
  4. Distance vision 1-3 feet
